Blackheath is a small town located near the top of the Blue Mountains in New South Wales, Australia, approximately 1 ½ hours drive from Sydney, it is the highest point in the mountains.

Blackheath village is beautiful, with a busy shopping centre providing cafes, well stocked delis, award winning restaurants, antique and collectable shops, preloved goods and bookshops. Blackheath boasts renowned bakeries and even a bespoke chocolatier.

The old Victory Theatre is home to the antique markets, a must for browsers. The town is the host of the popular Rhododendron garden festival which is held each November. The growers markets are held each month, selling local produce and wares on the weekends in the community hall, as well as other art, craft and flower shows held regularly.

Blackheath has an excellent golf course, surrounding Centennial Glen and the Megalong Valley offer choices of horse riding, hang-gliding, rock climbing and abseiling.

Some of the best bushwalks are located in and around Blackheath with some of the most spectacular lookouts such as Govetts Leap and Evans Lookout to name just a few.

Jenolan Caves is 45 minutes away and the wine regions of Orange, Mudgee and Cowra begin about 90 minutes away. Closer is the pretty township and gardens of Leura and the Three Sisters at Katoomba.
